Garden Plain Wind Power Project Connection (1909)
TransAlta Corporation (TransAlta) has applied to the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) for transmission system access to connect its approved Garden Plain Wind Power Project (Facility) in the Castor area. TransAlta's request can be met by the following solution:
- Add one 240 kilovolt (kV) transmission line, to connect the Facility to the existing 240 kV transmission line 9L59 in a T-tap configuration. Originally, the Facility was proposed to connect using an in-and-out configuration.
- Add or modify associated equipment as required for the above transmission developments.
