    Kirkcaldy Solar Energy Centre Connection (2373)

    Kirkcaldy Solar Energy Partnership (KSEP) has applied to the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) for transmission system access to connect its approved Kirkcaldy Solar Energy Centre (Facility) in the Vulcan area. KSEP's request can be met by the following solution:

    • Add one 240 kilovolt (kV) transmission line to connect the Facility to the existing 240 kV transmission line 1038L in a T-tap configuration.
    • Add or modify associated equipment as required for the above transmission developments.

    Notice of Filing

    The AESO intends to file the Kirkcaldy Solar Energy Centre Connection Needs Identification Document (NID) application with the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) on or after July 13, 2023.
