  • 2023 End of Year Update

    Purpose

On December 4, 2023, the AESO posted an end of the year narrated presentation to provide stakeholders with an update on the Market Tools User Group ongoing work. Specifically, updates to Azure API Management system and an outlook for 2024.

    Materials

This update can be found in the Quarterly Updates on the right-hand side of the page.

  • ETS and ADaMS Narrated Presentations | Quarterly Updates

In lieu of stakeholder sessions, we are providing our quarterly updates as narrated presentations for interested participants to view and listen at their own pace. We have created a number of presentations that discuss our progress thus far on web programming interfaces for ETS and ADaMS, External Data and APIs, and share our near- and long-term plans.

You can find these materials under Quarterly Updates on the right-hand side of the page.

  • API Prioritization Exercise | April - June 2023

    CLOSED: This exercise has concluded.

    Purpose

The AESO thanks users of the Energy Trading System (ETS) and Automated Dispatch and Messaging System (ADaMS) that submitted feedback to help plan the rollout of web APIs for these tools by prioritizing the APIs originally described in our 2022 draft design. Your feedback will help AESO schedule a phased rollout of the APIs, providing higher value features in earlier releases.

This exercise remained open until June 16, 2023 to allow participants time to engage their user bases and development teams to provide feedback based on a value-driven assessment of the APIs.

    Stakeholder Feedback

The AESO has provided stakeholders with a narrated presentation which discusses the results of the API Prioritization exercise, as well as next steps. This presentation can be found under Quarterly Updates.

Please reach out to us at MarketTools@aeso.ca if you have any questions about or issues with this engagement.
