New Assets Cascade 1 and 2 (CAS1 and CAS2) Notice

Cascade Power Project Limited Partnership is connecting two new gas generators, effective August 12, 2023:

• CAS1 – 450 MW
• CAS2 – 450 MW

The monthly outage and short-term outage graphs will be updated in the normal manner on the AESO’s website based on the information entered in the Energy Trading System. This new capacity will be reflected on the Current Supply & Demand page effective August 12, 2023.

Please note that the date listed on this notice is the date a new asset will be added to the market. However, many generation units may initially undergo commissioning and testing activities, or incorporation in phases as applicable, and there may be a period of time before the new generation will output its full MW capability on to the grid.
