Energy Trading System (ETS) – Update to Public Report

The AESO will be implementing a change to the categories reported on the Market Supply Cushion portion of the Supply Adequacy & Market Supply Cushion report on ETS, effective June 20, 2024.

Effective June 20, 2024, the report will be updated to include multiple new supply cushion volume categories, including one that will contain the 932 MW volume of supply cushion. This is being done in association with the Interim Market Power Mitigation engagement and proposed Section 206.2 of the ISO rules, Interim Supply Cushion Directives.

This change does NOT require any new action by the market participant however the market participant should be aware of the report change and update any market participant tools using this information if necessary. Further information related to the anticipated market supply cushion can be found on AESO Engage
