Invitation to Stakeholders - AESO 2020 Budget Review Process

The AESO is extending an invitation to stakeholders who have an interest in participating in the continuation of the Budget Review Process (BRP), which will be used to establish the AESO’s business plan and budget for 2020 and possibly beyond.

The intent of this period’s BRP is largely the same as that undertaken by the AESO and stakeholders in previous years. That is to: i) provide the AESO’s 2020 forecasts of Transmission Line Losses and Ancillary Services Costs and ii) consult on the Business Initiatives and Own Costs proposed for 2020. It is also intended to assist the AESO Board in formalizing its Board Decision regarding the proposed budget and forecasts.

The BRP is a consultative process. The AESO is interested in stakeholders’ input into this process and its forecasts. If you are interested in taking part in this BRP, please confirm your intention to participate in the enclosed stakeholder comments/reply matrix.

The AESO is requesting that stakeholder comments be provided regarding this invitation and the enclosed supporting materials. Comments are to be returned in a completed comments/reply matrix to karen.campbell@aeso.ca no later than Tuesday, October 8, 2019.
