Energy Trading System (ETS) – Reports and APIs Updated to Remove Coal and Dual Fuel

Effective Nov. 18, the AESO has removed the now-unused Coal and Dual Fuel categories from the Current Supply and Demand (CSD), Monthly Outage, Daily Outage, and 7 Days Hourly Available Capability public reports.

addition, in the Generation section of the CSD report Summary area, Coal and Dual Fuel have been removed and the Gas fuel type has been split into its various subtypes.

Concurrent to the ETS report changes, the supporting APIs have changed as follows:

    • CSD Summary API with Current endpoint – Dual Fuel and Coal will no longer be provided, and Gas summary has been split out in its various subtypes
    • AIES Gen Capacity API Dual Fuel and Coal fuel types will no longer be provided

The AESO apologizes for any inconvenience resulting from the enhancements.
