Addition of Voltage Support at Rycroft 730S Substation (1784)
Transmission reinforcement is required in the Rycroft area to accommodate future growth in electricity demand and ensure reliability. The AESO is expecting voltage below acceptable limits in this area under certain operating conditions. To maintain reliability, the AESO is proposing to add new voltage support equipment inside the existing Rycroft 730S substation. On May 3, 2019, the AUC approved the AESO’s NID.
