    AESO Application Programming Interface (API)

    The AESO’s Application Programming Interface (API) allows AESO data to be accessed programmatically, providing for more reliability. 

    Intertie Capability data and Interchange Outage data is available via our secure API. Please see the AESO API homepage for a list of available data.Additional APIs containing other public data currently available in ETS, ADaMS, and other sources will be added to this list in the future.

    The Pool Price Application Programming Interface (API) technical issues have been resolved as of Monday, Sept. 11, 2023. As a reminder, on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, the forecast information available through the Pool Price API was reduced to two hours, to align with the forecast information available through the Energy Trading System (ETS).

    API Access Instructions 

    • You will be sent an email with your API key. Click on the “Authorize” button on the AESO APIs homepage to authorize your access.
