Section 202.6 of the ISO rules, Adequacy of Supply requires the AESO to publish details of the calculations and methodologies underlying the forecasts and reports referenced in subsections 2, 3, and 4.2 of Section 202.6.

The AESO is proposing amendments to ID #2012-006R to amend some of the variables and assumptions used in the methodology set out in Appendix 3 of ID #2012-006R, Calculations and Methodologies regarding Supply Adequacy. These will make the short-term adequacy metric more accurate and provide a better indication of reliability.

The AESO is providing stakeholders with an opportunity to provide feedback on its proposed amendments. A copy of the AESO’s proposed revisions to ID 2012-006R has been posted on the AESO website on April 26, 2024. The period for Stakeholder feedback will be open on AESO Engage until May 17, 2024.
